- Providing Decision-making discretion
- Sharing information
- Minimizing incivility
- Offering operational feedback
Today we'll explore the first one.
- Providing decision-making discretion.
This means allowing employees at any level the freedom to make decisions that affect their work.
- Who do you not already entrust with decision-making?
- What do they need to learn to gain your trust?
- Can they learn by making decisions about their jobs?
- How will you handle their mistakes?
- Will your response to their mistakes disempower them again?
- What work do you have to do to permit decision-making success?
Explore your resistances and reasons for not empowering your employees with decision-making this week.
Start working on ways you can overcome these.
